I'm now a week closer to Utopia (The School Re-opening) hehe. Although I cant complain cos the kids have stayed out more this week then they have been at home so it aint been too bad :-P
I think my main problem at the moment is our beloved Mutt, She is SERIOUSLY driving me crazy, She has gone from a quiet, non fussy Pooch, into a food crazed pain in the arse!. I had a go at worming Her a couple of days ago (the joint of beef incident was a step too far), but if anything She is now worse than ever, She is there drooling in front of you everytime you are eating, She has Her head in the bin whenever you turn your back, and today was another example of how to steal food from on the worktop....... but this time it was a nice slice of chocolate fudge cake that was left for when Cameron finished His lunch....... oh dear Lassie, not a good idea to steal chocolate from a 7 year old Boy. Consequently She ended up in the garden for an hour, otherwise I think Cameron would have practised a wrestling move on Her, and I didnt fancy Her chances.
A couple of nights ago I had to let council workers in my home at 2am, due to the fact that next door (the ones who had their car torched a couple of weeks ago) had been broken into, I have to add that the Neighbours took off after the car torching incident, probably fearful for their lives due to the Toss Pots that have been terrorising them, so consequently the house has been empty for a while. I was kinda expecting something to happen to their home, empty houses dont tend to last long on this street without them being broken into, trashed or torched (obviously the "torched" part of it is making me crap myself, but other than packing up and invading my Parents home, there isnt much I can do...... and if I did it wouldnt take long before my home is wreaked). Anyway, the reason they had to come through my property is because there is no access to the neighbours house at the back. I live on a row of 3 houses, there is access to the back of my home though my back gate and there is access to the third house through their side gate, but the middle one is cut off, unless you fancy wading through the amazon jungle (derelict overgrown waste ground) and suffering anyphalactic shock from a million nettle stings. So I was kind and let them gain access to my garden so they could hike over my fence to board up next doors broken windows.
My neighbours turned up yesterday afternoon to assess the damage, so I took the chance to speak to them before they took off again. In short, their home has been totalled, every single room has been trashed, anything worth pinching has been taken, and the rest has been demolished, anything made of liquid has been chucked all over the walls (even the ink out of the printer!!), I am astonished that I didnt hear anything!, and they say it likely happened at a time when I was in.
They are now living in a one bedroom flat with His Dad and their 3 young kids because the council say that THERE ISNT A PROBLEM and are not willing to offer them a move, only offering CCTV protection from these lunatics!.
I took His mobile number and told Him I would contact Him asap if anything else happens (hopefully I wont be a pile of ashes if there is another incident.......)

I worry about you because the innocent usually are the ones to suffer when stuff like this happens. Be careful please!
I know what you mean Dan, thats what worries me too. I would love to get off this street but if my neighbours cant get a move, then I dont have a hope in Hell. I could opt to move into a private house, but if I do that I know I will never get back into Council accomodation :-(
Such an awful situation to be in, I kinder know how you feel as had very simular issues in my last house, we were with a housing association (the closest thing we have to council housing here) and we also couldnt get a move, in the end we forked out money we can not afford to go private. That was 2 years ago now, we are up to our eye balls in debts coz we can not really afford the high rent, but we live in a nice area with no trouble.
It seems you cant have it all ways in this world, you either have to risk going private and bankrupting yourself or putting up with a shit neighbourhood .... the whole thing totally sucks!!!
Stuck between a rock and a hard place :-(
