Duck Soup With A Side Serving Of Conkers

We went to the local park today, it made a nice change and the weather was absolutely glorious, albeit a bit cold, the kids really enjoyed themselves and I think the Ducks did too :)
Our Katie ended up skidding down a muddy hill on her bum, and consequently got a little bit mucky, but it all added to the fun......... a mucky kid is a happy kid hehe.

We got home with pocket fulls of conkers, once they have dried out I will introduce the kids to a conker match ;)

I went to Gala Bingo on Friday night just gone and won me £400 smackers, so all in all, its been a really good weekend.

I'm sporting a new hair do too, I really like it, its made me feel refreshed.
Enjoy the pics :)

Video Diary

You may remember me posting about THIS a couple of months ago, well it turns out that someone round here has been making a video diary of all the destruction and house fires on my Estate, it was this particular fire that filled the area with thick smoke that evening.

You can view all the other incidents HERE. There is little wonder why I want to get away from this Estate, so far no-one has been harmed, but its only a matter of time.

I live only a 30 sec walk to the bottom right of the road on the beginning of this video, I hate being so close to all of this crap, but there are people still actually living in some of these housing blocks because they own the house and are rufusing to be bought out because the councill are offering them next to nothing for their homes, we are talking about elderly people mainly, who are too frail to be moving home, and because they arn't being offered enough money for their homes, it would mean they would have to move into rented accomodation, cos lets face it, the bank aint gonna give them a mortgage at their age. I think it is DISGUSTING, and how they are getting away with it is beyond me. Eventually they will be forced to move out.........

The Estate is bare compared to what it was 2-3 years ago cos most of the burnt out houses have been torn down. Most of what is left now is derelict and badly overgrown.

Gone.........But Not Forgotton!

It's been too long since I last posted here, kinda lost my inspiration for it for a while (I have my reasons but I wont be going into it........far too long winded and uninteresting).

Anyways, its about time I got back into the swing of things ;)

Utopia arrived at long last, and both kids have now been back into full-time school since 3rd Sept. Those August school holidays seem to get longer every year, and just to make things more interesting, our British Summer failed to arrive, April Showers stretched out for 4 whole months, and some of the downpours were immense, I mean so much so that if you went outside and looked up you would have drowned. Needless to say we were stuck indoors A LOT.

Cameron has now moved up to Junior School, it seems so strange seeing Him wear a uniform and tie, it doesn't seem two minutes since I was wearing one....... god........ 12 years ago.

On a positive note, my Dog has stopped trying to recycle herself, She is still eating like She hasn't been fed for a month, but hey, I can live with that.

By the way, thanks to those who bought me a Birthday pressie from my list......... all zero percent of you! ;-P

Sofa', So Good..... not

I was sat up last night watching Lee Evans Live 2005 in Wales (I Sky +'ed it the other night when it was on), normally I like to watch stuff like that when I have someone else with me, otherwise I don't tend to enjoy it so much, ya know what its like, you feel strange laughing your head off when you're all on your own. But Lee Evans is the type of Comedian that you can quite happily watch on your lonesome, and I have to say......... my sides were aching come the end of it. By this time it was nearing 2am, I was very tired and feeling quite cold too, time for bed I thought. So I turned the TV off with every intention of crawling to bed....... then I woke up at 8am, in the same position I had fallen to sleep (sat up). Not only was I freezing cold, I was as stiff as a Nun's crutch........ a rare and fantabulous start to Monday morning. Suffice to say, I havn't quite felt up to doing much today, luckily the kids slept out so I didn't have to suffer the torment of being tormented untill they came home at about 2pm (I love them really, just not when I have spent the night snoring in an upright position). Utopia is only 2 weeks away now, I can almost taste the sweet freedom and tranquility lol.

For Mand

Here's you is hun, nothing special I'm afraid (need to get my inspiration back lol)
